At Canuck Amusements, we carry brass, nickel silver, steel, and Tungsten darts. Brass, nickel silver, and steel darts are more budget-friendly for beginners. More serious players and professionals use Tungsten darts due to their higher density, slim profile, and higher and tighter quality control during manufacturing.
Yes! You can personalize your darts with a variety of shafts and flights. We offer many types of shafts, including nylon, aluminum, carbon, steel and titanium. We also carry the one-piece flight shaft system from Condor and Viper.
Most shafts come in multiple lengths and colour options. Flights are available in various shapes, materials, themes, and designs, including sports teams and fun sayings.
The centre of the bull should be 5’8″ from the floor. For steel-tip darts, the throw line should be 7’9 1/4′. For soft-tip darts, the throw line should be 8’ away.
Most darts range between 12 and 48g, with the most popular weights being 24 and 25g. Darts in this weight are suitable for most players, although beginners may want to start in the 26 to 28g range. A heavier dart is easier to control and aim, while also allowing beginners to get a better feel for the darts.
The grip style is as personal a choice as the weight of the barrel. Though there are many different styles, a popular style of dart is a straight (parallel) barrel with a ringed grip. Beginners tend to lean a little heavier to a slightly more aggressive grip than a more experienced or professional player.
